In most of the cases the deformity was symptomatic (96,3%) and there were few idiopathic cavus. Cavus deformity in our series was most commonly the result of neural disorders. Among the cavus feet of neural origin, the cases with hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy and xerodermia pigmentosum developed the progressive type calvus while those while those with poliomyelitis, trauma and cerebral palsy did the nonprogressive cavus.
