To derive numerical measurements of standing balance for normal subjects and hemiparetic patients by recording the movement of the centre of foot pressure on the support plane and the assymetry of loading between the two feet. To compare performance between the two groups and validate each measure as relevant to the degree of abnormality in hemiparetic patients.
