Chronic tendinitis, particularly of the Achilles tendon, frequently outwits traditional programs of therapy including surgery and/or prolonged immobilization. In order for the healing tendon to be adequately rehabilitated, the treatment program must include specific eccentric strength rebuilding exercises.
