The prototype of a prosthetic hand with automatic grip control was tested on two forearm and two above elbow amputees. The two above elbow amputees, who naturally are more challanged by the lack of control automatism, were very pleased of the gain function. The two forearm amputees would need an automatic grip with more different possibilities of reaction.
