To evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation in a rheumatic diseases unit, 39 patients with rheumatoid arthritis had six outcome measures assessed on admission and on discharge from a rehabilitation unit in Dublin. Results showed an improvement in each area of assessment, suggesting the beneficial effect of inpatient rehabilitation for patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
