Résumé anglais : Modem techniques of taking the patients' history and examinations are very much developed and are the glue in finding the right diagnoses as a base for adequate treatment. Musicians as patients instead, require further adapted dialogues and examinations. Often, their problems are much more difficult to analyze and to discover in comparison to ordinary patients. Technical faults might give the impression of an illness or injury, pathologies might be overseen and misinterpreted as a personal musical capacity limit. The examination and interface with the musician needs a specific fundament, which is based on the knowledge of their professional reality, mentality, their education, techniques and methods. This article demonstrates that many medical problems are not revealed unless there has been a careful examination of the musician, while playing his or her instrument.
