Cerebral stroke is the third cause of mortality in North America. In the United States, it is estimated that there are 780,000 strokes annually. Cerebral stroke causes a significant deterioration of the patient's functioning and a worsening of her/his quality of life. Disability caused by stroke is common problem in all countries. The main aim of rehabilitation is to regain independence and to improve the quality of life.
