Knee extensor mechanism disruption is a serious injury usually requiring emergent
treatment. Rupture of the patellar tendon is rare in the normal population ;
bilateral spontaneous concurrent rupture in a healthy population is an exceptional event. We describe the case of a 39-year-old man with bilateral spontaneous concurrent rupture of the patellar tendon without any underlying systemic disease or drug use.
