PHYS MED REHABIL CLIN N AM , 2005, vol. 16, n° 4, p. 889-907 Doc n°: 122157 Localisation : Documentation IRR Descripteurs : AB1 - ETUDES GENERALES - MUSCLES, KA - KINESITHERAPIE Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a muscle disease characterized by a lack of dystrophin in the sarcolemma of muscle fibers. Many researchers have investigated myoblast transplantation as a potential approach to deliver dystrophin and alleviate muscle weakness in this condition. Although myoblast transplantation has led to the regeneration of dystrophin-positive muscle fibers within dystrophic skeletal muscle, this technology has been limited by poor survival and limited dissemination of the injected cells and inducement of an immune response. Researchers have made extensive efforts to eliminate these hurdles. Langue : ANGLAIS |
