The purpose of this investigation was to determine the validity and reliability of a new attachment designed to facilitate the measurement of bilateral contractions using a Kin-Com isokinetic dynamometer. Through a series of experiments the Kin-Com and attachment were tested for efficacy of lever-arm movement velocity and force measurements for both unilateral and bilateral conditions. Valid measurements were obtained for unilateral and bilateral force application, as well as lever-arm movement time and velocity.
