Forearm exercise increases plasma hypoxanthine
PATTERSON WH ; KAISER KK; BROOKE MH
J NEUROL NEUROSURG PSYCHIATRY , 1982, vol. 45, n° 6, p. 552-553 Doc n°: 14661 Localisation : Documentation IRR Descripteurs : AA2 - NEUROPHYSIOLOGIE Plasma hypoxanthine was measured in three normal subjects during aerobic forearm exercise. The comparative increase of hypoxanthine greatly exceeded that of ammonia or lactate. It is proposed that hypoxanthine production reflects ATP breakdown in muscle. The test may prove useful in the investigation of patients with metabolic muscle disease. Langue : ANGLAIS Identifiant basis : 1982014800 |
