In right-handed individuals, limb apraxia is associated with left hemisphere lesions. This article reviews the subtypes and neuroanatomic correlates of limb apraxia, including limb kinetic apraxia, ideomotor apraxia, ideational apraxia, and conceptual apraxia. The functional impact of limb apraxia on the individual is discussed. Strategies for the assessment and management of this disorder are reviewed.
