156 patients with a limb-girdle muscular dystrophy (79 female and 77 male) were treated in our clinic. It was analysed the effect of intensive physical therapy under stationary conditions. We investigated changes of relevant functional parameters of activities of daily living. In this study three of six functions showed significant improvements. The stationary physical therapy was well tolerated and is an essential element in the treatment of patients with a limb-girdle muscular dystrophy.
