Neurological impairment of the human brain often results in long lasting sequelae which require interdisciplinary efforts in treatment and rehabilitation. Quality control is essential.
This is particularly true for aphasia and dysarthria as they are comon and lead to severe restrictions in communicative activities and social participation of patients and their families. Therefore, detailed guidelines for acute and chronic treatment of aphasia and dysarthria were developed and agreed upon by the interdisciplinary membership of the German professional aphasia association.
