New contributions to the study of somato-sensory potentials in hemiplegics. Intrahemispheric conduction delay in some severely involved hemiplegic patients

ELECTROMYOGR CLIN NEUROPHYSIOL , 1985, vol. 25, n° 2-3, p. 103-113 Doc n°: 21515 Localisation : Documentation IRR Descripteurs : AF211 - HEMIPLEGIE, AK43 - POTENTIEL EVOQUE SOMESTHESIQUE Six selected cases with hemiplegia were studied with conventional four channel montage. Only those patients were selected in whom channel 1 (Erb's point referred to FZ) revealed all the early potentials (Erb's point, N13, PO and N20) on both normal and abnormal sides, while channel 3/4 (C3 or C4 referred to Fz) did not show any potential, starting with N20, on the abnormal side. In such patients N20 (corresponding to a positive wave over FZ) occurs at the same time in the central and frontal regions (20.6 sec in average) on the normal hemisphere. However on the abnormal side, with only one exception, N20 recorded in channel 1, was delayed by Langue : ANGLAIS Identifiant basis : 1985002389 |
