Pacinian corpuscles after nerve repair in humans
CARLSTEDT T; LUGNEGARD H; ANDERSSON M
PERIPHERAL NERVE , 1986, n° 1, p. 37-40 Doc n°: 25759 Localisation : Documentation IRR Descripteurs : AC23 - TRONCS et ou BRANCHES PERIPHERIQUES - PATHOLOGIE DU SNP A morphological correlate to impaired functional restitution after peripheral nerve lesion and coaption was looked for. In two patients who had sustained ulnar nerve lesion at the wrist with subsequent nerve repair, specimens of digital nerves and Vater-Pacini corpuscles were obtained. The light and electron microscopical investigations showed that the nerve fibre regrowth across the site of the lesion and suture and further distally was sufficient, whereas the reinnervation of sensory receptors was insufficient.
